Hi all,
So at Disney they have a system where if you excel in any of their fundamental 'Four Keys' you can receive a Four Keys Fanatic Card/Guest Service Fanatic Card (GSF).
In the past week I have received three. The other day a Family came rushing into Fantasy Faire as they had left their credit card at their hotel, problem was it wasn't a Disney Resort, so we had to work some magic to get the resorts phone number. The Guest then returned like 30 minutes later as they actually had the wrong resort and needed to get another resorts phone number. She was so relieved when everything was worked out, she wanted to tip us, but I just informed her that the best thing she could do for us would be to inform Guest Relations, or one of our leaders, who happened to be standing near us at that moment.
One of my co-workers was also helping out the situation and so I gave her a GSF and she in turn handed me one. Then today at work the same manager that was there the other day handed me another one for the situation but instead in the recognised part it was from the 'Guest' so that was really sweet.
But probably the most special moment I have had at work was when a Family I had helped back in February wrote a letter into the company as we had comforted the little Pirate during the fireworks, it was a special night I had never forgotten and it had clearly made an impact on them and their vacation. Writing in a letter to the company is probably the nicest thing they could have done, All of my managers read the letter and I got a copy of the letter with a special award from the Merchandise Manager of the Magic Kingdom as well.
Sounds pretty magical right?
Although all this cool stuff does happen at work, some really crappy things happen, and it does get old, fast.
Work is tiring, at the moment all I have been doing is working, eating and sleeping, there has been no time for anything else.
I should probably back track to my Birthday, we went to the Royal Banquet Hall in Norway with the Princesses, Belle, Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White & Ariel. We then watched Illuminations and headed over to Magic Kingdom for Wishes and Celebrate the Magic :)
I had IHOP for the first time the other day and got Banana and Caramel Pancakes, and then went to Steak 'n' Shake on another night for the first time :)
I don't think I have much else to say at the moment, Morgan's Birthday is on Saturday, going to the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue and I am going to attempt to make a cake! eppp! crazy
Until then,
Natalie :)
